This n' that

The legs have been really feeling the last two weeks of training over the last couple of days so I've opted for some easier spinning. Yesterday I put in about 2 hours and today was about an hour and a half of tempo work while working on leg speed. The weather has been warm and I really wanted to ride longer, but manged to keep things brief to get some snap back. My super extended off season this year is really starting to bite me in the butt. I know it's only February, but nonetheless I'm lugging around more off season weight than I'd like. Tomorrow I'm planning on a good 4 to 5 hours and on Sunday I'm planning on hitting up the Rio group ride to break the riding solo streak.

In other news, it's time for a new steed and I've been doing quite a bit of window shopping. It'll be awhile before I can afford anything, but I'm thinking either a GF Supercaliber or a C'dale Rush. The Rush comes with better components and I've only heard good things, but I have yet to ride one. Who knows?? But that's the joy of window shopping right!

I can't say much for the GFer, but the Rush is one of my favorite rides. If I had to buy a bike....that would be it.

I'm not a pro racer, nor do I have a lot of experience on numerous bikes, but I will say that my Rush has proved well in CC racing and all day on the trail comfort. It's a pretty amazing, fast and efficient full sus.
