I was attacked

So after a frustrating morning of fixing flats on my road bike just to get out for a ride, I got out the door around 10:30. I had a 50 mile ride planned, nothing too hard, a few good efforts, but just a few good hours on the bike. About halfway through the ride, I was fighting the wind when I felt something hit my helmet. I turned around and looked up, it may have been just a small little bird, but I swear it looked a little more like this at the time:
I don't know if it thought I was a big field mouse, or if I was going to go and eat it's kids for lunch, but it was sure pissed at me. Lucky for me it gave up and flew away after a few more dive bomb attemps and left me to finish my ride.

For all those who are interested, I'm thinking about geting some people together sometime early next week for some night riding. I'm thinking about meeting up at Petersons and riding some trail there and up at Mcfarland maybe as well. Charge up your lights and I'll post some more info in a few days.

Peace

The night ride sounds good to me too. The night ride sounds good to me too. The night ride sounds good to me too. I Didn't want to be outdone by Ineb.

FWIW, I've been attacked by red-winged blackbirds several times. They are very territorial. They usually just peck on the helmet until you leave their space. It's one more good reason to wear a helmet.
