Truckin along
Friday evening, Dave and I headed out of town for an overnight trip. It was Dave's first exposure to bike camping and I had laid out a killer loop. Some tough riding for sure, but overall good times were had. 100 miles and around 13K of vertical are the numbers, but here's a glimpse of what it looked like:
After some rain Friday night, we started Saturday out with some coffee...
After that we found some new singletrack and scared some moose...

Good stuff! Where did you go instead of that killer hike-a-bike section up Lookout?

We took that first 4x4 road off of Buckhorn and first went to the ridge beyond where we camped, but it was exposed and a big storm was rolling in so we camped in the same spot you and I did. Then, later on the same road we turned right and back down to Buckhorn instead of left and up to Donner Pass. We also did some riding on the lower Donner Pass trail. Then at the end of Monument Gulch instead of going east on Old Flowers we went West to the end of old flowers along the wilderness boundary and then hooked up with Upper Dad gulch before descending back to Old Flowers, Rist, and home.
awesome! when can I go? :)
i hate you two
Zim,
You know we still have those rooms open....
Looks sick! You need to start posting your routes.
Working on it, but my GPS is super ghetto...
Wow! You have no idea how bad I want to come out and ride with you guys next summer. Amazing stuff!
hows about an update? :) I love the new blog header (I think it's new??)
Yeah, yeah, I haven't really done anything exciting all week....except see a guy faceplant on the bike path, but that's not really update material.
And yes, it is a new header....Cameron Pass.
