Mmmm....Gravel.....Not Rollers!!!
I've been doing hour and a half to two hour rides the last few days and have felt great. I've been trying to keep the heart rate above 150 for the duration and not go above 170 because of this whole base phase thing. From past seasons, periodization works great, but you just have to be patient this time of year and not push it too hard and not burn yourself out so you get sick of riding mid-season. Anyway, the gravel roads have been real smooth and fast so it's been some good riding. I just still feel like I'm burning off a x-mas candy gut...
