Nom nom


Homemade all natural energy bars that sit around 400 cal each - that should feed the belly fire!

I actually just found the recipe in this last months Outside.

1.5 lbs chopped dates
3 tsb maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp orange extract
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp allspice
1/8 tsp cardamom
1/2 cup dried fruit
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup granola

They are tasty but a bit brittle. I think they'll work well if you can sit up and fiddle with eating it a bit but not so well if you're riding hard because they seem to crumble making eating them on the fly a little hard.
