'08 in review

Well, the theme of the past few days seems to be naming your best of '08 moments. So here goes - Quite a bit happened in my life over the past 12 months. I started the year living on couches and having 95% of my possessions in boxes and finished the year living in Fort Collins and having a good job. I also had a good year on the bike, here's a few of the top moments in my mind.

Top training ride: Not super long but lots of views - Cameron Pass

Best race performance: Winning the 7 Oaks 24 - Everything clicked perfectly!

Best event - Vapor Trail 125 - Week after the 24 so I was hurting, but it's hands down one of the coolest events I've done.

Best race course: Breck 100 - It's a super tough course and in my mind everything a race should be. I ended up riding 108 miles and having a disappointing race but you can bet I'm headed back this year for some redemption.

Best weekend: Maroon bells and riding at Vail while living on NERDS and cold coffee.

Toughest weekend: Bikepacking with the Bro

Best new piece of equipment: Tie between the Yeti and the Ergon BD2

All told, it was a great year dispite starting out a bit rocky. I've got some big ideas for 2009 so stay tuned.

Vapor Trail and Breckenridge makes a perfect year if no other if involved.

Glad to see things have worked out so well for ya! Now if only you could get up to Idaho for some biking/skiing you'd be set!
