This 'n that

Well, I managed to get sick last Wednesday and have been feeling like crap ever since. That hindered moving into my new place a bit, but I managed to get everything in. Now, getting everything unpacked is another story, but it's coming along. I really wanted to get out and ride the last few days, but I did the responsible thing and tried to get myself healthy again. Another good nights sleep and I think I'll be good to go. However today I had a bit of cabin fever and decided to go and check out the dirt jumps and pump track at Lory State Park. I reasoned with myself that I could ride in jeans and a sweatshirt and not risk getting any sicker. When I got there, the pump track had some soft spots which only made portions good enough to ride on. When I got warmed up I headed over to the jumps and found a few wet spots on the biggest line, but the rest was completely rideable. There are 5 lines to choose from of all different sizes. They all have great flow and are built pretty nicely. I rode for about 15 more minutes before a bunch of guys and a girl who races downhill showed up to ride as well. They all maintain the place and told me it will be rebuilt this season!! I got a ton of good info from them including one sweet tip....In town there is a bike shop/bar called Road 34 ....pretty much the sweetest thing I've ever heard of. I'll hafa check it out soon. Hopefully tomorrow or the next day I will be back at 100% and can get on the roads. That's all for now, get out and ride!!

FYI - there's a ride leaving from the oval on campus at 10:00am tomorrow morning. i don't know anything about it to be honest, other than there's a ride. i think a bunch of different levels show up for it. also, a group might be riding to estes park on sunday. let me know if ur interested in either rides.
